On March 18, 2025, a fire outbreak occurred on a production line in the grinding workshop at the Elixens France site in Vaison-la-Romaine during a ginger rhizome powdering operation.
On the afternoon of March 18, 2025, a fire outbreak occurred on a production line in the grinding workshop at the Elixens France site in Vaison-la-Romaine during a ginger rhizome powdering operation.
Thanks to the swift intervention of on-site operators and emergency responders, the fire was quickly contained.
As a precaution, two employees received medical attention after being exposed to smoke. They were able to return home in the evening and did not require any work leave.
Material damage from the incident was minimal and did not impact other workshop areas.
This morning, the facility is operating normally, except for the affected powdering line.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes of the incident and implement corrective and preventive measures.
