Origin & Sourcing

Local sourcing

Our quality control starts right in the fields. Through our subsidiaries and partnerships with local producers of fragrant, aromatic and medicinal plants, we control our supplies and thus control the nature of our raw materials.

We are present right in the heart of the Indian Ocean: Located on the island of Anjouan in the Comoros archipelago, on a 27-hectare plantation, our subsidiary Bambao cultivates frangipani, orange flower, vanilla, ylang-ylang and other plants. Not only do we farm the land there, we also produce organic-certified or conventional 100% pure and natural essential oils and concretes from ylang-ylang, frangipani, orange flowers and vanilla.

On the Reunion Island, we have a partnership with producers in the CAHEB (Agricultural Cooperative for Bourbon Vanilla Essential Oils) who supply us with 100% pure and natural essential oils of rose geranium, vetiver and pink peppercorn.

We also offer products that are typical of Eastern Europe. A few kilometres from the port city of Odessa, right in the heart of Ukraine’s fertile plains, our subsidiary Eastaroma cultivates lavender, coriander, dill, sage, hyssop, mint, Artemisia, caraway, pine and other plants on 4,000 hectares of land. The site accommodates a continuous distillation column which is ideal for the processing of coriander or fennel seeds to make essential oils. We offer a wide range of organic-certified and conventional essential oils. An extraction plant is used for the production of concrete from clary sage

This desire to set up sites locally can also be seen in our acquisition of Sanoflore’s raw materials division and in our exclusive dealing agreement with Sica Bioplantes, France’s leading group of organic aromatic and medicinal plant producers in Provence. Through this, we develop more than 30 species of plants on 400 hectares of organically farmed land. All these products have been certified as organic by Ecocert.
